Board of Directors
K-P Wilska
Chairman

K-P Wilska is a Venture Partner of Austin Ventures. His industry experience includes more than 30 years with Nokia. K-P was a driving force in Nokia’s rise to its position as the largest wireless supplier in the world. He joined Nokia in 1973 and held numerous management and marketing positions, served in executive posts with Vertu Ltd, Nokia Mobile Phones, Nokia Cellular Systems, Nokia Telecommunications, Kinex Corporation, and Mobira Oy. Mr. Wilska retired from Nokia in 2005 as President of Nokia, Incorporated.

Mr. Wilska currently serves on the Board of Directors for Brightpoint (NASDAQ: CELL), Agere (NYSE: AGR), the Advisory Board for Bitfone, and is Chairman of the Advisory Board for Sipera Systems. He also served as a Board of Director for Spectra Site, Incorporated (NYSE: AMT) and Zarlink (NYSE: ZL). Additionally, K-P serves on the Boards of Dallas Symphony and Dallas Opera.

A recipient of the Order of oLin of Finland, Mr. Wilska holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Radio and Television Technology from the Helsinki Institute of Technology. He was a recipient of the Electronics Engineering Association of Finland’s bi-annual EIS Award in 1995, received the CTIA’s President Award in 1999, and was recognized by Wireless Foundation with Industry Achievement Award 2002 and Engineering Association of Finland appointed him as the Engineer of the Year 2003

 
Bruce Lee
DIRECTOR

Bruce Lee brings over 20 years of management and technical experience to Paragon Wireless.  As a founder of several start ups in the industry, Mr. Lee brings experience from Beijing Ocean Electrics as their Vice General Manager, General Manager for Beijing's Software Company as their editor-in-chief of their "Beijing Computers" magazine, Chairman and General Manager of Beijing HaiCheing Communications Limited, and net 263 Ltd. as their Chairman and CEO.  Mr. Lee holds a BS from Beijing University of Technology, Department of Computer Science. 

 
Gang Wu
Director

Gang Wu brings over 20 years of management and technical experience to Paragon Wireless. Prior to joining Paragon, he was with DoCoMo USA Labs as Senior VP and Research Fellow, leading the R&D activities of WLAN and 3G/4G mobile systems. Gang has extensively established relationships with overseas customers. Before joining DoCoMo, he was with Communications Research Laboratory (CRL), Ministry of Posts & Telecommunications, Japan, focusing on broadband wireless access systems. He led a Japanese national project (MIRAI) to integrate heterogeneous wireless networks. Gang is the 1st Vice Chair of IEEE 802.20 WG. He holds over 20 patents and has 80 published professional papers. Gang received a B.S. from Xian Jiaotong University, China, MSEE from Xidian University, China, and a Ph.D. from Shizuoka University, Japan.

 
Jie Liang
Director

Jie Liang brings over 15 years of technical experience to Paragon Wireless. Prior to joining Paragon, Jie was a senior system architect with the WLAN product department of TI where he worked on a project to develop low-power WLAN chipsets for VoWLAN solutions. Jie was the project leader of TI Bluetooth/WLAN dual-mode chip project which is currently adopted by Motorola’s new generation of cell phones and iPAQ. Jie holds more than 20 patents and patent applications and has 20 published journal and conference papers. Jie received a B.S. from Tsinghua University, China, and a Ph.D. from Cornell University.


 
Clark Jernigan
Director

Clark Jernigan joined Austin Ventures in 2001 and focuses on hardware investing. Previously, he spent four years with Cirrus Logic as vice president and general manager of the Communications division and vice president of new business development. Before joining Cirrus Logic, he spent 12 years in product-development engineering at Advanced Micro Devices and one year as an analyst at Alex Brown & Sons. He serves as a director of Jundt Funds, Inc.

Clark received his MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, an MS in electrical engineering from Rice University and his BS in electrical engineering from Texas A&M University, where he was a National Merit Scholar.

 
Lisa Lo
Director

Lisa Lo has extensive experience with direct investment in technology-related projects in both Taiwan and North America. At CID, she is responsible for building the China portfolio. In her earlier career, Lisa joined China Development Industrial Bank (CDIB) for 6 years. Serving in both the Direct Investment and the Overseas Business Departments, she was involved in numerous projects covering PC, Semiconductor, communication, and material industries in both Taiwan and the United States. In 1998, Lisa was assigned to the start-up of CDIB Venture Management (USA) in Silicon Valley, California—a wholly owned subsidiary of CDIB. CDIB manages USD150 million for invest into North America technology projects. From 1998 through 2003, Lisa was responsible for portfolio building and fund raising, as well as serving on the board of several portfolio companies.

Lisa holds an MBA from National Cheng-Chi University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University.
